Snap goes the 15mm, meant to take off a bolt equal to its size

Click click click click

Dozens of clicks as the tool turns counter-clockwise, loosening the bolt

Clicks echoing through the garage, the garage now turned into DIY auto shop

The DIY auto shop sporting a handmade workbench holding dozens of unorganized items

Unorganized items that- Damnit Dad where did you put this?!

Where did you put the tool I needed to take my interior apart

Take apart the interior just so I can finally take out that damnable dent in my door

The dent that haunts my everyday about how some idiot was stuck on his phone

Stuck on his phone as he backed into you

Yes, you, my white 2013 volkswagen.

The 2013 volkswagen that carries me hundreds of miles every month

The 2013 volkswagen that has been nothing but a pain to service

Service on that oh so annoying thermostat

…

A thermostat I will gladly revisit when service is needed

Because repairing you gives me joy, because it’s work I did

Now how’s about I get back to working on that dent?
